Character Corner
Meet the friends, heroes, and creatures who live in NanaKaye's story worlds
Every great story is built on characters you can't forget. Here you'll find profiles of the beloved characters from Hare Hollow, Huckleberry Farm, Gnomegulch, and Chronicles of Elyria — their personalities, their quirks, and the roles they play in the stories.
Hazel Hare
Protagonist
Brave, curious, and a little too stubborn for her own good, Hazel is the heart of Hare Hollow. She carries her lantern into the dark so others don't have to.
Old Bramble
Mentor
The oldest hare in the Hollow, Bramble has seen three winters and knows the name of every path in the wood. He speaks slowly and means every word.
Juniper Mae
Protagonist
Eight years old and full of questions, Juniper Mae loves the farm the way she loves her grandmother — completely, and without needing a reason.
Granny Bess
Grandmother
Granny Bess knows the name of every plant on the farm and the history of every family in the county. She tells stories the way she makes biscuits — with love and no measuring.
Pip the Gnome
Guide
Small, ancient, and impossibly wise, Pip has lived beneath the roots longer than the oldest tree above him. He speaks in riddles, but always tells the truth.
Lyra of Elyria
Hero
A young woman who discovers she carries the last fragment of a broken prophecy. She would rather tend her garden than save a kingdom — but the kingdom doesn't give her a choice.
