About NanaKaye

The Story Behind the Stories

NanaKaye is a storyteller, illustrator, and legacy-builder who has spent decades weaving worlds where kindness matters, courage is quiet, and wonder never runs out.

Her books are shaped by family — by the grandchildren who asked for one more story, by the land she grew up on, and by the belief that the best stories are the ones that travel from one generation to the next, carrying something true inside them.

From the woodland warmth of The Adventures of Hare Hollow, to the Southern heart of Huckleberry Farm, the rooted whispers of Gnomegulch, and the mythic depths of Chronicles of Elyria, every world she builds is a place you can return to — and find something new each time.

When she's not writing or illustrating, NanaKaye can be found in her garden, in her library, or at the kitchen table with a cup of tea and a grandchild on her lap.
